COACHING GROUNDED IN WE ARE RESILIENT™

Coaching for the Moments Leadership and Teamwork Get Complicated

Stress, change, conflict, difficult decisions, and relationship dynamics can make even experienced people feel stuck. We Are Resilient™ coaching creates space to understand what’s happening, recognize the patterns shaping your response, and find practical ways to move forward with greater clarity, connection, and choice.

Bring the real situation. Coaching helps you work with it while you’re living it.

Two people engaged in a thoughtful coaching conversation

Space to notice. Space to choose. Practical reflection for the challenges happening now.

WHEN COACHING CAN HELP

Sometimes Knowing What to Do Isn’t the Hard Part

You may understand the situation intellectually and still find yourself caught in the same reaction, conversation, decision, or team dynamic. Coaching creates room to notice what’s happening and explore what may help next.

Leading Under Pressure

The decisions keep coming, expectations are high, and there is rarely enough space to stop and think.

Difficult Conversations

You know something needs to be addressed, but you’re unsure how to enter the conversation productively.

Change + Uncertainty

Roles, priorities, leadership, technology, or expectations are shifting, and you’re trying to find your footing within the change.

Patterns That Keep Repeating

You notice yourself avoiding, defending, over-accommodating, distrusting, or reacting in ways that aren’t helping.

Team Dynamics

Trust, communication, accountability, or unresolved tension is making it harder for people to work well together.

Growth + Transition

A new role, responsibility, challenge, or season of leadership requires a different way of showing up.

Coaching gives you a place to work with the challenge while you’re actually living it —not months later when the moment has passed.

THE WE ARE RESILIENT™ APPROACH

More Than Advice. A Way to Understand What’s Happening and Choose What Comes Next.

We Are Resilient™ coaching doesn’t begin with the assumption that someone needs to be fixed. It begins with curiosity about what’s happening—within you, in your relationships, and in the larger environment around the challenge.

NOTICE

Recognize What’s Happening

Notice stress responses, emotions, assumptions, and Protective Patterns that may be influencing how you’re seeing the situation and responding to it.

CREATE SPACE FOR CHOICE

Move Beyond Automatic Reaction

Bring Curiosity, Choice, and Courage to the moment so there is more room to consider what matters, what you can influence, and how you want to respond.

PRACTICE

Use Skills That Fit the Moment

Draw from Centering, Connecting, and Collaborating Skills to support clearer communication, stronger relationships, thoughtful decision-making, and greater resilience.

APPLY

Bring It Back Into Real Work

Apply what you’re learning to the conversations, meetings, relationships, decisions, conflict, and change you’re actually navigating.

AN IMPORTANT DISTINCTION

Resilience Doesn’t Mean Learning to Tolerate an Unhealthy Workplace

Coaching isn’t about making one person responsible for fixing a difficult system. It can help people understand what they can influence while also recognizing the relationships, team dynamics, structures, and organizational conditions affecting the situation.

CHOOSE THE SUPPORT THAT FITS

Coaching Can Support One Person, a Team, or a Larger Learning Process

The right format depends on what you’re navigating, who is involved, and whether coaching is the starting point or part of broader organizational support.

LEADERSHIP + 1:1 COACHING

CAN PAIR WITH

Leadership 360 Resilience Assessment Comprehensive Team Assessment We Are Resilient™ training Multiweek team learning

QUESTIONS ABOUT COACHING

What to Know Before You Begin

Coaching is personal, and choosing support can bring up practical questions. Here are a few of the things people often want to know before getting started.

Do you offer a free introductory conversation?

Yes. A free introductory conversation gives you a chance to share a little about what you’re navigating, ask questions, and get a sense of whether coaching feels like the right kind of support.

You do not need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal or know which coaching option you want. Part of the conversation can be figuring that out together.

Who is coaching for?

Our coaching is for people across roles, industries, and levels of responsibility—not only executives or people with formal leadership titles. We work with business professionals, healthcare workers, nonprofit staff, educators, hospitality and restaurant workers, frontline employees, managers, team members, and others navigating the human challenges that come with work and life.

You do not need a particular title or level of seniority. What matters most is having something you want to understand, practice, or approach differently.

What kinds of challenges can coaching support?

Coaching can support a wide range of workplace situations, including leadership challenges, difficult conversations, communication, stress, recurring patterns, workplace relationships, role transitions, team dynamics, conflict, and organizational change.

The work is grounded in the real situations you are navigating, rather than following a one-size-fits-all coaching curriculum.

Do I need to be part of an organization to work with a coach?

No. Individuals can work with one of our coaches directly, whether or not their employer is involved.

We also work with organizations that provide coaching for leaders, managers, teams, or groups as part of a larger professional development or culture-building effort.

Can coaching be paired with training or an assessment?

Yes. Coaching can be especially useful after a We Are Resilient™ training or assessment because it creates space to interpret what you are learning and apply it to real situations over time.

Coaching can be paired with the Leadership 360 Resilience Assessment, Comprehensive Team Assessment, team learning experiences, or customized training.

What does coaching grounded in We Are Resilient™ look like?

We Are Resilient™ gives coaches and clients a shared way to explore what happens under stress, including the Protective Patterns that can influence how we communicate, lead, and relate to others.

Coaching may also draw on the Resilient Mindsets of Curiosity, Choice, and Courage and practical Centering, Connecting, and Collaborating Skills. The goal is not to eliminate difficult reactions, but to notice them earlier and create more choice in how you respond.

Is coaching the same as therapy?

No. Coaching is focused on reflection, growth, goals, patterns, relationships, skill-building, and practical action. It is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or crisis care.

If something arises that would be better supported by a licensed mental health professional, we encourage clients to seek the appropriate clinical support.

Is coaching virtual or in person?

Individual coaching is available virtually, making it possible to work together across locations. Team, small-group, and organizational coaching may be virtual or in person depending on the engagement, location, and scope of work.

Have a question that isn’t answered here? You can bring that to an introductory conversation too.

READY TO START A CONVERSATION?

Bring Us What You’re Navigating

You don’t need to have the challenge neatly defined before reaching out. A first conversation can help clarify what’s happening, what kind of support may be useful, and whether coaching feels like the right next step.

Sometimes the most useful next step isn’t another answer. It’s having the space to notice what’s happening, consider what matters, and choose how you want to move forward.
